One hundred fifty-six seniors of Helias Catholic High School accepted their diplomas and celebrated their accomplishments together during their Graduation Ceremony the evening of May 13 in Ray Hentges Stadium. Bishop Ralph O’Donnell and Erin Vader Ed.D., diocesan superintendent of Catholic schools, joined Ron Vossen, president; Spencer Allen Ed.D., principal; Dwayne Clingman, assistant principal; and Emma Williams, assistant principal, on the platform. Mr. Vossen gave a brief welcome. Fr. Helias Award recipient Gavin Wilson led the Opening Prayer. Members of the Class of 2026 sang their senior song, “Landslide,” by Stevie Nicks and Ed Lojeski. Fr. Helias Award Recipient Claire Morris proclaimed a passage from the Book of Sirach. Student Council President Elizabeth Boyer spoke of being “once a Crusader, always a Crusader.” Dr. Vader and Dr. Allen distributed the diplomas. Dr. Allen gave closing remarks. Bishop O’Donnell gave the final blessing. (103 photos)
