Mary C. Makarewicz, 92 — mother of Monsignor Marion Makarewicz, pastor of Our Lady of the Lake parish in Lake Ozark — on Feb. 24. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 28 in St. Patrick Church in Sedalia, with Msgr. Makarewicz presiding and preaching the homily. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Sedalia.
Joseph D. Noonan, 89 — uncle & godfather of Father John Schmitz, pastor of St. Patrick parish in Laurie and St. Philip Benizi parish in Versailles — on Feb. 24. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 28 in St. Peter Church in Jefferson City, with Fr. Schmitz presiding. Entombment with military honors was in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
Sister Rose Mary Ryan SSND, 77 — who taught first grade at St. Joseph School in Westphalia in the early 1970s — on Feb. 22 at the Sarah Community in Bridgeton. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 27 in the Theresa Center Motherhouse Chapel in St. Louis. Burial was in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Irma Zabincki-Ackerman, 86 — who served as music director at St. Anthony parish in Camdenton for 20 years — on Feb. 1 in Lockport, Illinois. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 6 in St. Alphonsus Church in Lemont, Illinois.
